Expectations are aligned during this part, we will exchange inspiration photos, ask and answer any questions, and compile a detailed shot list + timeline. 50% deposit will be sent to hold the date.

I reached out to Jenn to shoot my proposal at Jay Peak Resort in Vermont. She drove to the resort the night before so she could scope out good spots before my fiancé and I arrived. When it came time for the proposal, I texted her saying that we were going to be at the top of the lift in about 15 minutes. When we got off the lift, I asked if she could take a picture with us. Jenn played it off and mentioned she’s actually a photographer with her own camera. My fiancé was taken by surprise and we had an entire shoot after. The photos came out beautiful. We couldn’t be happier with the whole experience and will hire her for our engagement shoot as well.

Style is incredibly important - it will determine your expectations being met when receiving your gallery. Symula Media Group is an editorial and true to color photographer. You will not get light and airy photos - you will receive a true to color style. You can look at photos and when you see 'sepia' or warmer tinted photos, you're looking at the temperature of the photo. The more cool a photo is, the more bluer tones you'll get, and the more warm a photo is, the more yellow/orange/red tones. Look at the colors, temperatures, the poses, the feelings the photos give you when you look at more than just social media (galleries). With a blend of documentary hands-off style and gentle guidance for good posture and family portraits, you'll be in good hands.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
You will have the right to share your photos (digitally, socially etc.) for personal use, attribution to the Symula Media Group whenever possible/always, however you will not have full ownership of the photos. You will be able to print all of your photos watermark-less and high-resolution.

will i have full ownership of my photos?
AI is becoming a really big part of our world, that said, I only use AI to remove objects - I hand-edit all of your images one by one because I feel editing is part of the artistic style and I prefer to take care with each image; this also ensures your images are consistent.

do you use ai to edit the wedding gallery?
You can expect 6-10 weeks for your gallery to be returned if there is a high volume of photos (i.e. wedding or event), but smaller sessions you can expect a 2-3 week turnaround.

how long is the average turnaround for a gallery?
No, I do not. Part of what makes my style of photography unique is the editing process I spend to ensure the colors are color corrected, the shadows and contrasts are stylistic, and the RAW images would essentially be a blank canvas. Just like you don't get a blank canvas from the artist, I cannot give you a blank canvas with the images. I'm happy to align on communication of editing preferences though.

DO YOU PROVIDE RAW IMAGES?
Typically couples will book me at least 1 year out from their wedding date. However, if you want to proceed with me, I recommend booking sooner than later as I will not hold your date until a 50% deposit and a contract has been signed. Most wedding photographers tend to book a year+ out so once you find vendors you love, definitely jump on it before they book up!
